Nonetheless, one could assume this promotion is to raise eyebrows about Triumph’s next game, Age of Wonders: Planetfall. Though if you are unfamiliar with the Age of Wonders series, Triumph previously released the Overlord series which to my memory is very similar to Fable, but less fun. If you are looking for something a little more modern you’d say Civilization VI and Stellaris ( free weekend right now), but neither are the Game of Thrones or The Witcher 3 high fantasy. Of course, my go-to 4X style game would be Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion. For most the idea is to be strategic, while I am a literal Douglas Haig in the Battle of Passchendaele.
I love 4X games: They are big, bombastic, and ridiculous! However, I am utterly hopeless at winning like a normal human, instead of using logic, I opt for throwing duct tape at a pipe spraying fecal matter everywhere.
